Animal Profile:
Sly the New Zealand fur seal (Arctocephalus forsteri)

D.O.B: 2003
Sex: Male
Arrival at UnderWater World: 21 March 2007

History: Sly was found by a fisherman on 5 August 2004 at the Spit on the Gold Coast. He was transported to a marine animal rescue facility where it was later discovered that he had sustained Cookie Cutter Shark bites to his body.

Career Highlights: Sly is proving to be a quick learner, picking up the daily routine of Seal Cove and has become a star performer in our Seal Show.

General Information: Sly has settled in nicely to his new family. He is often seen playing and wrestling with the other seals. He has even been seen wrestling with our largest seal Groucho!
