Our Sea It Yourself Tours allow you to lead your students through the aquarium and its' seven amazing zones where you'll discover thousands of marine and freshwater animals including stingrays, sawfish and beautiful tropical reef fish, all at your own pace.
Students have the opportunity to explore the ecology of aquatic communities by taking part in abundance and richness surveys while also identifying methods of monitoring various environmental factors.
Students will discover the different aquatic habitats through a journey of discovery.
This program highlights the needs of animals for survival.
Students will use models to represent survival strategies to distinguish between structural, behavioural and functional adaptations while also proposing ways these assist in the survival of animals at both an individual and a species level.
This program provides an introduction to core concepts underpinning the study of animal behaviour and enables students to identify the influences of adaptations and environment.
Students begin to understand the influence of specific species behaviours on the welfare, husbandry, conditioning and training requirements for successfully managing both wild and captive populations.
A fun and fascinating subject for students and teachers, this program is ideal for educating Marine Studies classes about the dangers they may face when studying out in the field.
This program focuses on investigation into a tourism destination.
Students will develop an understanding of the motivations and expectations of UnderWater World visitors and gain an insight into the marketing strategies, design requirements, and presentation of precincts that aim to ensure its success.
This program gives students an insight into the operational side of the aquarium.
From pH to temperature and salinity to dissolved oxygen students will investigate what constitutes a healthy environment for different fish and they will discover how we look after our water for the health of the animals.
