Smooth Stingray

A master at camouflage, the Smooth stingray has adapted the effective technique of countershading.Watch some of the newest members of the crew here glide around in the Bay of Rays. These guys look very similar to a black stingray but you can spot these rays as they usually have irregular rows of small white spots on the upper surface beside their head.

Cownose Ray

The Cownose Ray (Rhinoptera bonasus) is a species of eagle ray found throughout a large part of the western Atlantic and Caribbean. These cute looking rays love to hang out together and glide through their new home. Their bodies are olive brown on top and white underneath with big triangular wings giving them an almost bird like appearance.Australian Cownose rays are not a member of the stingray group, although they do have a small barb on their tail.
