Aquatic Ecosystems - Theme: Habitats

Theme: Habitats


This program explores the different types of aquatic ecosystems, both on a local and a global scale. Students will learn about the relationships between organisms with different roles such as, predator and prey and; parasite and host. Energy and matter and the role of energy in ecosystems will also be covered as the students explore 16 unique and interactive zones.

Survival of the Fittest - Theme: Adaptations

Theme: Adaptations


This program looks at how the digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems of animals interact in a coordinated way to provide requirements of life. Students will also explore the structural, behavioural and functional adaptations organisms possess in order to survive in a wide range of environments.

Theme: Classification


This program gives students an insight into biological classification systems and teaches them how to group animals by looking at observable characteristics, using basic keys to help identify species and gives them an introduction to hierarchical systems and scientific names.

Biodiversity - Theme: Conservation

Theme: Conservation


This program touches upon the effects human activities such as carbon emissions and habitat
destruction have on aquatic ecosystems. It also teaches students the basics of laws, guidelines, environmental rehabilitation and monitoring.
