Is SEA LIFE Mooloolaba the same as UnderWater World?


Yes! We joined the global SEA LIFE aquarium family in December 2013.


What age is classed as a child at SEA LIFE Mooloolaba?


A child is classed as ages 3-14yrs. 2 years and under (Under 3s) are free of charge. 15 years and older is classed an adult.


What time does SEA LIFE Mooloolaba open?


We are open from 9am to 5pm everyday except Christmas Day with last admissions 1 hour prior to closing time. We will operate with limited opening times on Anzac Day.  As you enter you will receive a shark re-entry stamp which allows you to come and go as much as you like throughout the day.


Anzac Day (Monday 25th of April) Trading will be as follows: 1.30pm to 5pm (last entry 4pm)


How long does a visit to SEA LIFE Mooloolaba take?


We recommend that you give yourself a minimum of 2 hours to explore aquarium.  On entry you will recieve a stamp that will allow you to come and go as you please throughout the day.

Do you have a cloakroom?


SEA LIFE Mooloolaba doesn't currently have any storage space to take bags, luggage or prams.


Is SEA LIFE Moolooalaba wheelchair friendly?


SEA LIFE Mooloolaba has extensive wheelchair access facilities throughout the attraction and wheelchairs are available for free hire from guest services on arrival.

Please be advised due to the steepness of our ramps that lead down to our deeper oceanarium wheelchair users may find they require extra assistance. 

Please note: we require a security deposit, such as a credit or bank card, which is returned upon return of the wheelchair.


How many visits does my ticket allow me into SEA LIFE Mooloolaba?


Standard tickets are valid for one entry into the attraction.


Do you have to use your tickets in one day?


Single admissions (Single Visit tickets) are valid for one entry and must be used on the date and time specified during the online booking process (if applicable).


Do we have to enter SEA LIFE Mooloolaba straight after purchasing our tickets?


No. You may enter at a later time on that day, however this is a one entry ticket which must be used on the day of issue.


Is it a guided tour?

No. SEA LIFE Mooloolaba is a self guided-tour.


You say 'save up to 20%' on this website, so how do I get those tickets?


Our General Admission (Single Visit) online tickets are priced according to the time and date you want to visit. There is always an allocation of maximum discounted tickets available on the website for certain dates and times. As with other tickets that are sold online, from flights to theme park passes or hotel rooms, the best prices are available during off peak times, such as late afternoons or weekdays (although we do occasionally run special discounts during peak times too). That's not to say that visiting at those times is any different in terms of experience, as we strive to offer all of our guests a great experience, no matter when they visit. Aside from the biggest discounts we offer during off peak times, we also guarantee to ALWAYS offer a minimum 10% discount on General Admission tickets when you buy on this website compared to our standard walk up prices, so you'll save money no matter when you want to visit. And there's no booking fees either, so there are no nasty surprises when it comes to purchasing.


Is there a cafe inside?

Yes, we have Octopus Garden Cafe located just after Seal Island, which serves a variety of drinks, snacks, ice cream along with hot and cold food.


Do you have toilets in the attraction?

Yes, we have toilets located within the first section of the aquarium.


Do you have baby change facilities in the attraction?

Yes, we have changing facilities located near the toilets for parents to use within the first section of the aquarium.

Is there parking available?

Free parking is available at SEA LIFE Mooloolaba. However during holiday times parking may be limited.  There are other parking options nearby in Mooloolaba.


Is  SEA LIFE Mooloolaba completely undercover?

Yes, SEA LIFE Mooloolaba is completely undercover so even if it is raining you can still have a fantastic time! We are also completely air conditioned so SEA LIFE Mooloolaba is the perfect place to visit when it's hot.
